My name is Fong Peng-Chuan, also known as Foley Hits amongst my friends. My home is in George Town, Penang, West Malaysia. My career revolves around the works of music production, music composition and arrangements, audio engineering, audio sweetening and acoustics engineering. Educated at an early age of 9, and then to Berklee College of Music, Boston, and Oberlin Conservatoire of Music, Ohio, at 21 and 24 years of age respectively, my musical journeys have been colorful ever since. Having an alias like "Foley", its a name synonymous with the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added to film, video, and other media in post-production to enhance audio quality. The name "Hits" represents my company, HITS RECORDING STUDIOS. I have personally worked with Warner Malaysia, Sony Music Malaysia, Universal Music, and many more. I've also recorded for top Asian artistes like A-Mei, Sammi Cheng, Aaron Kwok and Jacky Cheung. Director of five other music stores and music schools in Penang, I’ve also been very active locally as an avid landscape and architecture photographer. Although I normally shoot anything and everything that catches my eye, my top favorites are still Landscapes and Architecture, with Macro Photography being third and Portraiture, fourth. I now use the Fujifim GFX50s and prime lenses. I also shoot with Sigma’s latest FP with 45mm lens. As for digital editing of photos, I use Lightroom and Photoshop extensively, with others like Luminar, On1, Nik, Capture One, and Sigma's PhotoPro softwares. I started photography merely 8 years ago, I’ve managed to win many local photo competitions, which includes being shortlisted in the Sony World Photography 2017. My photos were also featured in Lonely Planet May 2017 issue, and many other local magazines. I received my Diploma in Photography from The Photographic Institute in 2018. A member of PSP ( Photographic Society of Penang ), SPP ( Society of Photographers Penang ) along with NYIP ( New York Institute of Photography ), gives me the insights and friendship with many pro photographers in and around the world. I am currently enrolled as a student in MA Photography at Falmouth University, UK, and the duration of the program is approximately 2 years. Hope to do well in the program. Wish me luck !
